Mac Outlook Data Migration
New Outlook for Mac not showing all locally stored data of migration from previous Mac
Moved ~52GB Main Profile folder from previous Mac /Users/xxxx/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles to same folder on new Mac. On My Computer section of new Outlook recognizes folder hierarchy and “some” contents but not all. Search functionality does not yield complete results. (This is also happens on previous Mac). However, search results on previous Mac show more data. Triggered Spotlight re-indexing for Mail and Messages and still not yielding desired results (all mail visible via browsing and search)

1. Use Outlook built-in export tool: Open Outlook for Mac, click “Tools” > “Export”.
Select the type of data you want to export (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, etc.) and click “Continue”.
Select where to save the exported file and click “Save”.
2. Use Outlook built-in import tool: Open Outlook for Mac, click “Tools” > “Import”.
Select the type of data you want to import (Mail, Calendar, Contacts, etc.) and click “Continue”.
Select the source of the imported file and click “Import”.
3. Using PST file: In Windows version of Outlook, export data as PST file.
Transfer PST file to Mac, use Mac version Outlook to import PST file.
4. Synchronize using iCloud: In Outlook for Mac, add iCloud account.
Synchronize the data to iCloud and then synchronize the data on other devices using iCloud account.
5. Use third-party tools: Use third-party data migration tools (Outlook Migrator, Stellar Converter for OST, etc.) to migrate data.
6. Contact Microsoft Support: If none of the above methods work, it is recommended to contact Microsoft support team with detailed error messages and screenshots for further assistance.- lnekjrCopper Contributor
Thank You Jett,
Unfortunately, we already tried many of these :-/. When using Legacy Outlook for Mac and trying to export, it zips by in 1 second creating an empty .olm file. That and Legacy Outlook doesnt show much of the data in the folders, while New Outlook does. Because the data is local on the Mac on not in the cloud, we can't directly import to Windows. While we could copy data over, it appears something is corrupted somewhere in the profile, like its not reading all of the data. Because those apps mentioned are Windows based and work with PST files, we can't convert. Legacy Outlook for Mac will import PST data but not create. MS Support has not been helpful. at all :-(
