Impossible problem
To get my security code and verify my identity for Outlook (Email in Hotmail) only has one option - sending a text to an incorrect phone number (a landline which does not accept text messages).
Previously had an option to send security code to my email address, but no longer.
Microsoft Support does not solve this problem.
Impossible to talk to a real person.
Can you help solve this impossible problem?

I understand the frustration you are facing with the issue related to verifying your identity for your Outlook (Hotmail) account. While I cannot directly access your account or interact with Microsoft's systems, I can only make some general suggestions that I have collected from different AI's that might help you in this situation:
- Check Account Recovery Information: Log in to your Microsoft account security settings and check if your recovery email address and phone number are up to date. You might be able to update your recovery options to ensure you receive the security code via email.
- Clear Browser Cache and Cookies: Sometimes, browser cache and cookies can affect the way certain options are displayed on websites. Clear your browser's cache and cookies, and then try accessing the verification options again.
- Use a Different Browser or Device: Try using a different web browser or device to access your Outlook account settings. This might help in case the issue is browser-specific.
- Check Security Info: When logged in, go to the "Security" section of your Microsoft account settings. Review the security info and recovery options listed there. Make sure your email addresses and phone numbers are correctly set up.
- Contact Microsoft Support: While you mentioned having difficulties contacting Microsoft Support, you might want to try again. Use the official Microsoft Support website or contact channels to report your issue. Sometimes, it might require multiple attempts to reach a support agent who can assist you.
- Microsoft Account Recovery Form: If all else fails, Microsoft has an account recovery form that you can fill out to regain access to your account. Visit the Microsoft Account Recovery form and provide the necessary information. The form might take some time to process, but it could help you regain access.
Remember that account security is of utmost importance, and certain verification steps are in place to protect your account. While the process might be frustrating, it is designed to ensure that only authorized individuals have access to the account.
