Import function in Outlook Classic - won't import emails on Microsoft exchange server

Hi.. I am attempting to import a folder (.pst file) which has no current emails but does have 4 emails that have been

moved to the Microsoft exchange server due to (age ??) . So, opening up the folder there are no emails displayed but when I click on the link to the exchange server I can see all 4.  However, when I export the folder then import to another account the emails are not imported.. the folder is empty.. 

So, have I missed something or is this not possible ??

    That depends on your caching settings;
    File-> Account Settings-> Account Settings...-> double click on your Exchange account-> use the sync slider to sync everything

    Note that you can also open your pst-file directly;
    File-> Open & Export-> Open Outlook Data File
