I need to return to my classic Outlook. I need to turn off new toggle. I can't. Help
Hi NebilSedki,
To switch back to the classic view in Outlook, follow these steps:
- Open Outlook.
- Navigate to the Outlook menu.
- Uncheck the option for the New Outlook.
- Click the Revert button.
- Allow the application to revert to the Outlook Classic view.

If you don't see a toggle in the new Outlook for Windows, troubleshoot with these steps:
- Launch classic Outlook for Windows from the Windows Start Menu, not the new Outlook (identified by the "New" tag).
- Open the Registry Editor by typing "Registry Editor" in the Start Menu search and selecting the app.
- Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences.
- Find and double-click on "UseNewOutlook" at the bottom of the list.
- Set the Value Data field to 0.
- Attempt to launch classic Outlook for Windows from the Windows Start Menu.
Switch from 'new' Outlook (2023) to 'classic' outlook - Microsoft Community
Ensure you choose the app icon without the "New" tag.

Unfortunately its not as simple as that. It will not allow the classic version to re-instal. I have tried to reach out to MS support but no joy yet. Some may like the new version but to me all the functionality I needed was in classic and some of this is either not or under new icons/drop downs. Going to try to re-instal O365

Hello richardvm I've had a similar problem (if you see my thread from earlier), I won't bore you with it again...
However, I found something that worked for me... !
Search in start menu for your old Mail app. The old envelope icon and app should come up! I saved to my taskbar and opened from there (had to try a couple of times as screen flashed to try and throw up the Office outlook loading screen and stopped), but the third time I tried, it worked!
All because I read something on here that stated the old e-mail 'app' was just called mail and calendar - and not outlook 😄
Really hope this helps you too!
