I need to return to my classic Outlook. I need to turn off new toggle. I can't. Help
Hi NebilSedki,
To switch back to the classic view in Outlook, follow these steps:
- Open Outlook.
- Navigate to the Outlook menu.
- Uncheck the option for the New Outlook.
- Click the Revert button.
- Allow the application to revert to the Outlook Classic view.

If you don't see a toggle in the new Outlook for Windows, troubleshoot with these steps:
- Launch classic Outlook for Windows from the Windows Start Menu, not the new Outlook (identified by the "New" tag).
- Open the Registry Editor by typing "Registry Editor" in the Start Menu search and selecting the app.
- Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences.
- Find and double-click on "UseNewOutlook" at the bottom of the list.
- Set the Value Data field to 0.
- Attempt to launch classic Outlook for Windows from the Windows Start Menu.

Ensure you choose the app icon without the "New" tag.

That's very comprehensive: I tried it, now what do I do if "UseNewOutlook" doesn't appear in the list?

thomascaldwelltheschoolmaster I would love to return to the Classic Outlook. However, once I toggled to "New Outlook", when I went back, I got the dreaded popups for each account that asks me to put in the password - and this happens again and again and again (you get the idea). It also merged Windows mail accounts with the Outlook accounts, so now have more email accounts than one can handle in one place.
Anyone have any ideas about returning to Classic AND stopping the popups?
Have deleted all accounts (then reinstalled so I know the settings are correct) , deleted both instances of outlook, reinstalled only the Classic. I get the Classic, but the popups won't stop popping up. Had to set up Thunderbird as a backup because there is absolutely no functionality in the New Outlook (not sure what the programmers are thinking here)
Any HELP would be appreciated!
