Huge amount of spam/ junk- bets way to stop?
You want to reduce the flood of junk without losing legitimate replies. For an Outlook.com/Hotmail mailbox, add the exact addresses or domains of expected companies under Settings > Mail > Junk email > Safe senders and domains. When a genuine reply lands in Junk, select it and choose Not junk. For unwanted messages, use Report > Junk or Report phishing instead of only deleting them. Block a sender when the same address repeats, but remember that spammers often rotate or spoof addresses, so blocking alone will not stop every message. Avoid a broad rule that moves all unknown mail to Deleted Items, because it can hide real replies. Review your inbox rules, forwarding settings, and recent account activity. If anything is unfamiliar, change the password and enable two-step verification. Outlook cannot prevent all spam delivery, but reporting plus narrowly scoped safe senders is the safest balance.
