How to highlight e-mail adress on new e-mail recived on an e-mail lists without expanding the list?

Hello,

Is there possibility to highlight this list of e-mails on the far left of outlook?

When i click the "burger" icon - list of e-mail adresses shows - but i would like to know if there are new ones without expading each adress individually. It'll be also nice feature if you don't have to expand it at all and just open inbox by clicking adress. Eventually expand it if you wanna see sub-folders.

Is first option possible?
And second is just my suggestion.

As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, there isn't a built-in feature in Outlook that allows you to directly highlight new email addresses in the left-hand "burger" (hamburger) menu without expanding each address individually. However, there are a couple of workarounds you can try to achieve similar functionality:

    1. Use Unread Email Count: Outlook can show the number of unread emails next to each email address in the left-hand navigation pane. This can give you an indication of whether there are new emails in each folder without expanding them. To enable this feature:
    1. Right-click on the email address in the left-hand navigation pane (e.g., the email list). b. Select "Show in Favorites" if it's not already shown there. c. Once it's shown in Favorites, you should see the number of unread emails next to the email address without expanding it.
    1. Use Quick View: Outlook has a "Quick View" feature that allows you to see the content of a folder without fully expanding it. To enable this feature:
    1. Right-click on the email address in the left-hand navigation pane (e.g., the email list). b. Select "Add to Quick Access" or "Add to Favorites" (the wording might differ based on your Outlook version). c. Once added to Quick Access or Favorites, you can click on the email address to see a preview of the emails in the folder without fully expanding it.
    1. Use Rules and Conditional Formatting: You can set up rules and conditional formatting in Outlook to apply specific colors or highlighting to new emails in specific folders. While this won't directly highlight the email address in the left-hand navigation pane, it can help you quickly identify new emails in those folders when you open them.

Please note that the features and options available in Outlook might vary based on your specific version and configuration. If you are using an Office 365 subscription, there might be additional features and improvements not available in older versions. It's always a good idea to check the latest documentation or support resources from Microsoft for updates and new features.
