I'm using Outlook Classic, and every day Copilot adds itself to my Outlook. I right-click and select uninstall, but the next day it comes right back. I do not want Copilot. How do I stop Copilot from adding to my Outlook. In what way is your comment helpful? OP was explaining that Copilot keeps re-enabling after disabling it. There is an option to disable it at the user level but it keeps re-enabling a few hours to a few days after enabling (even when there are zero org policies). I have the same issue. I DON'T WANT IT. And quite frankly it is obviously a bug that Microsoft is currently choosing to ignore. Whether you like Copilot or not is totally irrelevant. Your comment is like telling someone who hates broccoli (but the restaurant ignores this and serves it anyway) that you like broccoli and therefore everyone else should like and eat it too.

But if there is an option at the user level to disable, then it should stay disabled. Period. If there is an org policy to force install it, then the disable option should be grayed out at the user level. That is the expected behavior. Either way, this is a big that Microsoft needs to address.

Thanks Lisa. I have been doing this step daily, but it keeps adding itself back every day. I've asked our company Microsoft 365 admin if they have a policy that keeps pushing it, but they say they do not, although I think they do, so I'm still trying to find a way to block it from reinstalling itself daily. I'm not on a company PC, I'm on my personal PC with my own copy of Outlook Classic, but I'm logged in with my company email, so I think it's still pushing the company policies onto my Outlook.

Exact. Same. Thing. Happening. Here. Our company does not have an organizational setting that is pushing it. It's all Microsoft. Our tech guys said this to me: "These AI integrations have been a pain in the neck and I know it's not just Microsoft. Google had forced Gemini to all of their products as well and they make it impossible to remove the feature because they really want it to get used. I conducted some extensive research on this issue and, unfortunately, there does not appear to be any way to permanently remove Copilot from the Microsoft 365 apps for Enterprise. I can't even find any controls in the Admin center to at least disable the feature for users. The best solution I have found next to continuously uninstalling the feature is to browse to the following location in any M365 app: -File-Office Account-Account Privacy-Manage Settings-Uncheck "Turn on option connected experiences" This supposedly prevents Copilot from working, but also disables other connected experiences that you can learn more about here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365-apps/privacy/optional-connected-experiences Hopefully enough people will complain and Microsoft will give us a way to completely disable Copilot for people that do not wish to use it or quit forcing the feature to reinstall after a period of time."

Hi Magnus, if you right click on the app, can you "Unpin" it? I believe you should be able to. I just opened mine to show you (mine looks different as I have the copilot sales installed)

    This is exactly what is happening for me. THIS IS A BUG. Why everyone keeps saying otherwise feels like gaslighting. Microsoft needs to address this. If the option is there at the user level to disable it (for me on Outlook for Android), then it should stay disabled regardless of a policy or update. Period.
