If Outlook isn't installed, you can use a standalone PST-to-MBOX conversion solution that can read the PST file directly.
Before starting, make a backup of the original PST. For a large PST, look for a solution that supports batch processing, folder selection, and filtering. After conversion, verify a sample of emails, attachments, and folders in the MBOX output to make sure the migration completed correctly.
