How do i check my company's SMTP server address if we use M365?
One thing that i tried:
- Open an email which was sent to me from a colleague (in the same company)
- Go to File - Properties and check Internet headers
But all that i could find in the server name part were the URLs with some random-looking strings, like this:
Received: from AM96HMHHDF88S065.eurprd08.prod.outlook.com (2603:10a6:20b:2dd::11)
by DB48HD7JJE885419.eurprd08.prod.outlook.com (2603:10a6:10:118::9) with
Microsoft SMTP Server
Is AM96HMHHDF88S065.eurprd08.prod.outlook.com a legit smtp server address?

- What exactly are you trying to achieve here? There are literally thousands of SMTP servers used by M365, at any given time your company's messages can be passing through dozens, even hundreds of them. The above is one such example, yes.
If you need this information in order to configure IMAP/POP profile, use the following values:
Server name: smtp.office365.com
Port: 587
Encryption method: TLS
