Gmail less secure apps being locked down
On May 30, 2022 Google is locking down "less secure apps". See Google's announcement here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en I'm using Outlook 2019, ad use Gmail via Outlook...
Personally I gave up on importing gmail into outlook years ago. Gmail saying they are tough on security is a joke. They pretty much ban VPNs or anything that prevents them from data mining - lol. It became a huge pain having to verify so I keep gmail separate and login from time to time. My work stuff stays separate in outlook.
