Functionality: does it work or not
We would expect that with a name like Microsoft behind it, it would just work—work properly—work without the constant need to troubleshoot the simple (to us) function of searching through our emails ...
1. Functions are not working at all
Try web version of Outlook (outlook.office.com)
Normal → Client problem
Abnormal → Account/Server problem
2. Create new Outlook profile:
Control Panel > Mail > Show Profile > New
Some functions are abnormal
3. Safe Mode startup:
Press Win+R, type outlook.exe / safe
to test if the problem recurs
4. Disable add-ons:
File > Options > Add-ons > Go to COM Add-ons
Uncheck all and restart.
