Formatting wont transfer from Excel to Outlook
Excel formatting can change in Outlook when the message is composed as plain text or rich text, when paste defaults merge formatting, or when an add-in modifies the editor. Start a new message and confirm its format is HTML. Copy a small test range from Excel, then use the paste options and select Keep Source Formatting; Paste Special can also preserve the table as HTML or insert it as a picture when fidelity matters. Test in a new message rather than a reply, because the original message format can control the reply. If the problem persists, start Outlook in Safe Mode and repeat the paste. A successful Safe Mode test indicates an add-in is involved, so disable add-ins individually. Update Office and run Quick Repair, followed by Online Repair only if needed. Complex conditional formatting, column widths, and unsupported Excel features will not always translate perfectly into Outlookâs HTML editor.
