Flagged Emails as Tasks
In Outlook, the behavior you described is expected. Flagged emails are treated as tasks, and by default, they appear in the "To-Do List" section rather than being segregated into the respective email account's task list.
To address your preference of having all private tasks and flagged emails listed in the "Tasks of private account" section, you can try the following solution:
- Create a custom search folder for flagged emails: a. Right-click on the "Search Folders" section in the navigation pane. b. Select "New Search Folder" from the context menu. c. In the "New Search Folder" dialog, scroll down and select "Create a custom Search Folder" and click "Choose..." d. Provide a name for the custom search folder (e.g., "Private Flagged Emails"). e. Click the "Criteria" button and set the criteria to search for flagged emails in your private account only. f. Click "OK" to save the criteria. g. Click "OK" again to create the custom search folder.
- Move the custom search folder to the "Tasks of private account" section: a. Drag and drop the custom search folder from the "Search Folders" section to the "Tasks of private account" section in the navigation pane. b. This action will add the custom search folder as a subfolder under the "Tasks of private account" section.
- Repeat the same process for the business account: a. Create a separate custom search folder for flagged emails in your business account following the steps outlined above. b. Move the custom search folder to the "Tasks of business account" section.
By creating custom search folders and moving them to the corresponding task sections, you can have a dedicated list of flagged emails from each account under the respective task sections, without them all appearing in the "To-Do List" section.
