Error - "One of more of your apps are out of date" - Unclear how to resolve.

Had exactly the same problem. Outlook kept asking to sign in, 4 times a day. Onedrive kept throwing up the error you report and 365 did the same. All of this on a Samsung note 10. No clearing cache or restoring of account worked. Same error about updated apps. It turns out my Microsoft authenticator app needed updating. Having done that , I could set up my accounts again on both 365 and outlook. Annoying.
