Endless Delivery Fail E-mails

Hi, MS Tech Community

 

I sent out an e-mail through Outlook 2016 to about 300 recipients yesterday. 

 

The problem is that shortly after, I began recieving endless e-mails from things like 'MAILER Daemon' and 'Postmaster' saying that the delivery failed. The error mail stated that it failed due to 'Message size exceeds maximum message size' (552). 

 

I have been unable to use my e-mail due to thousands of these e-mails, but the real problem is that a few of my recipients are getting hundreds of the e-mail that I sent (the e-mail that seemed to have triggered this issu) 

 

I don't think it was hacking related since the delivery fail e-mail is about a actual e-mail I sent. 

 

The IT guys are having trouble finding the reason, so I turn to this community for help.
