Email subject change

Hello !

We are 2 people using the same email address (gmail) on 2 different outlook : 1) is Outlook 365 for windows 2) is Outlook 365 for Mac.

Once we deal with an email, we want to change the subject into "handled by xx  //".

On my PC, the change reflects immediately. On my colleague's Mac, she changes the subject of the email, it does reflect on her Mac but not on my PC.

Can someone tell me why ?

This is on Outlook Mac

and this on my PC

you can see that the "handled CC." does not reflect on the subject...

Many thanks in advance.

This happens because Outlook for Mac saves subject edits locally and doesn’t sync them back to Gmail, while Outlook for Windows writes the change directly to the server. Since Gmail doesn’t support syncing subject-line changes, edits made on Mac won’t reflect on other clients. A better approach is to use labels, categories, or flags instead of changing the subject line.
