Deleting Outlook calendar attachments

Why can I consistently NOT remove attachments that I upload to a calendar item? The attachment of course has a drop down menu and when I click "Remove Attachment" nothing happens. Never had this problem before the New Outlook. I'm finding I have to kill my calendar item and recreate, just to be sure the old attachment is gone. Is there a workaround? A plan to fix this glitch?
