Deleting Draft Emails
While it's uncommon for emails to persist in the Deleted Items folder after being permanently deleted, let's explore some additional steps to address this persistent issue:
1. Deep Dive into Outlook Settings:
Check AutoArchive Settings: Ensure that your AutoArchive settings are configured to automatically delete items older than a certain age.
Review Rules: Look for any rules that might be preventing the deletion of emails.
2. Utilize Outlook's Search Function:
Precise Search: Use advanced search terms to pinpoint the draft emails. For instance, you might try "is:draft AND from:me" to find drafts you've created.
Bulk Delete: Once you've identified the drafts, select them all and delete them.
3. Leverage Outlook's Web App:
Web Based Access: Log into your Outlook account through a web browser.
Manual Deletion: Manually delete the draft emails from the Deleted Items folder.
4. Consider a Clean Install:
Backup Important Data: Before proceeding, back up any critical data.
Uninstall Outlook: Completely remove Outlook from your computer.
Reinstall Outlook: Install the latest version of Outlook and reconfigure your email account.
If none of these solutions work, it might be worth investigating potential issues with your email server or account settings.
Hope this helps!
I tried all these things suggested above and still I have 4 Draft emails in deleted folder in New Outlook that will not delete. I delete New Outlook and restarted. I then reinstalled program with no success. They are still there.
