Deleteds and sents do not show in Outlook

Running Microsoft 365 and connected my Gmail account to outlook. Outlook does not track sents, deleteds or allow me to add files along the left side. I have used Outlook before and needing to have a second device for checking emails is horrible. As much as I didn't like the ease of use with Gmail, Outlook may have lost me if I can't figure this out.
