What you have run into is called a "Classic Outlook Orphaned OST".
When you removed the email account from Classic Outlook it broke the association with the OST file that Outlook uses to store local data. These folders are usually marked "This Computer Only". Your recovery options are limited. Microsoft does not offer any tools for accessing Orphaned OST.
All I can suggest is that you ask your favorite AI something like this and see if any of the solutions apply in your case.
