Delete button - hide in outlook
I want to know if it possible to get rid of the delete button that comes up when you hover on a message as it easy to delete a message instead of flagging it as the buttons are very close together. ...
- In Old Outlook (which is our preferred platform) there is no control of the Delete button, it is not in the quick steps or quick actions to manage. It is fixed, not controllable. Poor placement and invisible until accidentally pressed! horrible by design. New outlook is avoided by most users.
Replying to this now several years later, because this is the first search result I see for "outlook remove delete button". I note that, in the "New Outlook" (Version 1.2024.313.100/Client Version is 20240308003.14), it's possible to go to Settings > Mail > Customize actions and individually check or uncheck 0-4 of delete, unread/read, archive, flag, pin, and folder. In "Old Outlook", quick steps is indeed the way to change these buttons, I believe.
