Hi there! I’ve got Microsoft Office for Mac, so I’m using the paid version of Outlook. I’ve been trying to block the same emails every day, but the Block button doesn’t seem to do much—maybe I’m missing something? I’d love some help making it work. I upgraded to a Mac with a silicon chip about six months ago, and I’m just getting tired of seeing the same spam over and over even after blocking it. Any ideas? I’m on Outlook version 16.113.3 (26092714). Thanks so much in advance!
Best,
Xe

If the same senders keep getting through, I’d use Outlook’s Report Junk/Phishing option rather than just deleting the messages. You can also add persistent senders or domains to the blocked list and review your junk email settings. If the spam suddenly increased, it’s worth checking whether your address was exposed in a recent data leak too.
I don’t know which email server you are using.
But some of them allow you to adjust the level of antispam, precisely to avoid this situation.
Free providers (Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo) are more inclusive, and because of that they tend to receive a lot of spam, unlike paid providers (which allow you to adjust the blocking level).
You can even create a spam rejection list, but to be honest, it’s like trying to vacuum dust in the desert.
You can't, but they are already caught by the Junk Email filter it seems. In that case, they will be automatically removed after 30 days.
Continuous spam-runs are eventually blocked entirely by the filter but if they are not phishing related, it usually takes a bit longer.
Note that you can also right-click on the Junk Email folder and choose "Empty" to delete them all at once.
