Change display name when sending mails

Hi all,

I need to change my display name in Outlook when sending mails. The name that the receipients see, but I have tried several suggestions in several forums, with no resolution.

When I enter the Account Settings, I do not receive the option to change my name. I only see

This mail account resides on a remote server. 

Could anybody assist?

    Hi Deon,


    1. Personal Microsoft account
    If you are using a personal Microsoft Account such as outlook.com, hotmail.com, etc., please navigate to https://account.microsoft.com/profile/edit-nameto edit your name.


    2. Work- or school account
    If you are using a work- or school account, please contact your IT administrator to change the display name in the Microsoft 365 admin center (admin.microsoft.com).

     

    It can take a couple of hours (days) until the changes will be visible because the old information is cached.

     

    If using the Outlook Desktop App, I advise creating a new Outlook e-mail profile.
