Can't make 'from' address default in shared mailbox for new Outlook
Hi all,
I have users using shared mailboxes in the new Outlook client. Unlike with the original Outlook when they reply to an email from the shared mailbox inbox in new Outlook it is by default coming 'from' their own personal address.
It means they have to click from and then choose the shared mailbox address every single email.
This is not the case in the older Outlook version.
This guide from MS also doesn't talk about default 'from' addresses for shared mailboxes. Open and use a shared mailbox in Outlook - Microsoft Support
Any ideas please?

I can repro it, so its not a "you thing". Do you have Help tab > Support? If so, contact support to report it.
I got the following response from a Microsoft support Agent using the "Help tab > Support":
"The option "Set default from address" is available only for @outlook.com email accounts. We cannot add any other email addresses other than @outlook.com and alias accounts.
You would have to manually click on 'from' and select the email address."
This should not be the case as we know it works on the previous version of Outlook.
Can someone get this to Microsoft team to try and fix properly?
