Can't attach files from onedrive to my gmail account on outlook
My outlook app holds multiple email accounts, including my account from gmail. I can't seem to attach a file from OneDrive to an email sent from my gmail account. Any help?

Attaching files from OneDrive to an email sent from your Gmail account via the Outlook app can be a bit tricky due to the way different email platforms handle attachments. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
- Open Your Gmail Account via Outlook:
- Open your Outlook app or access your Gmail account via a web browser by going to "mail.google.com."
- Create a New Email:
- Compose a new email in your Gmail account.
- Access OneDrive:
- In a separate browser tab or window, open OneDrive (https://onedrive.live.com) and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Locate and Select the File:
- Find the file you want to attach in OneDrive.
- Right-click on the file or select the file (click once) to highlight it.
- Generate a Sharing Link:
- Click on the "Share" button or right-click the file and choose "Share."
- In the sharing options, make sure you generate a sharing link with the appropriate permissions. You can choose "Anyone with the link can view" or "Anyone with the link can edit," depending on your needs.
- Copy the Sharing Link:
- Once you've generated the sharing link, copy it to your clipboard. This link will allow the recipient to access the file in OneDrive.
- Return to Your Gmail Email Composition:
- Go back to the Gmail email composition you opened in step 2.
- Insert the Link:
- In the email composition, place your cursor where you want to insert the link to the OneDrive file.
- Click on the "Insert Link" button (it usually looks like a chain link symbol).
- Paste the sharing link you copied from OneDrive into the URL field.
- Add a descriptive text for the link if needed.
- Finish Composing the Email:
- Complete the email with your subject, message, and recipient information.
- Send the Email:
- When you're ready to send the email, click the "Send" button.
The recipient of your email will receive a link that allows them to access the file on OneDrive. They may need to sign in or use a Microsoft account to view or edit the file, depending on the sharing settings you selected in OneDrive.
This method allows you to effectively share files from OneDrive within your Gmail emails sent via the Outlook app.The text and steps were created with the help of AI.
