Calendar shared, person able to edit not just view despite settings
I added an event to my calendar from a different email account and added my primary account as a person/invite. My primary account is shared with someone but as view only permissions. They were able to accept the invite sent to MY primary account? Why do they have access to this when they are set as view only?

1. Check the sharing permission settings: Open Outlook and navigate to “Calendar”.
Right-click on the shared calendar and select Properties > Permissions.
Ensure that the permissions of the person being shared are set to “View Only”.
2. Reset sharing permissions: In the “Permissions” tab, select the shared person and click “Delete”. To re-add the shared person, select the “Viewer” role and click OK.
3. Check the default permissions: In the “Permissions” tab, check whether the “Default” permission is “View Only”. If the “Default” permission is set to “Edit”, change it to “View Only”.
4. Check the shared link: If the calendar is shared via a shared link, make sure the permissions of the link are set to “View Only”. Regenerate the shared link and select the View Only permission.
5. Contact the Exchange administrator: If the issue is still not resolved, contact the Exchange administrator to confirm if there is a global policy or configuration that overrides the shared permissions.
