Calendar Items Deleted impossible Restore

Hello,

There's a bug with the new Outlook.

Deleted events aren't visible when you go to the Deleted Items or Recoverable Items folder.

If I switch the Outlook client back to classic mode, I can see my event "test2803-2025" in the Deleted Items folder and can restore it.

Do you know if the calendar recycle bin is located in a different location in the new Outlook?
Or is this a bug?

I have another display problem on the new Outlook, I no longer see the "move" option when my email is open.

The "move" option is clearly visible on the old Outlook display.

Are you also having this problem?

I reported this problem to Microsoft via the comments.

    Great, it works!

I added a category and it appears correctly.

Then I created another one without a category, and it appears under "Unknown."

Otherwise, I just figured out the problem. It was simply related to the display in the new Outlook: you need to switch back to "Display each message separately" and not stay in "Group conversations":

    • Ah, that works too. Still, shouldn't have to change the view or settings (although trying to find recently deleted events is difficult because it sorts by created time) - so you should leave feedback. (I reported it, but more feedback is better.)

  • Actually, it looks like there are there, if you can find them.  I deleted some in classic, added a category then sorted by Category in new. Now, it's possible they didn't show before I added the category - They are listed as from [unknown] and the date is the created date.

In a second test, cleaned up the deleted folder in classic (to make it easier to find things) and deleted a newly created appt. It still does not show up in a sort by date view - but is there if sort by category (in the none group).

ETA: cannot find them using search either.

  • I'm not sure if it is a bug or an oversight that calendar events aren't visible. Please use Help > Feedback to report this.
