Azure Credits redeeming for Power BI licenses?
Unfortunately, Azure credits from the Microsoft Partner Center can’t currently be used to directly purchase or provision Power BI or Fabric capacities, including those needed for Copilot. Azure credits only apply to services billed through Azure (like virtual machines, storage, or Azure Synapse), whereas Power BI and Fabric capacities are billed through the Microsoft 365 or Commerce platform. However, as a Microsoft Partner, you may have Internal Use Rights (IUR) benefits or Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program benefits that include Power BI Premium or Fabric capacity entitlements, those can be used to enable Copilot features without extra cost. It’s worth checking your Partner Center benefits dashboard under “Product Benefits” to see if your organization has any of those allocations. Otherwise, you’ll need a paid Power BI Premium or Fabric capacity license (F64 or higher) to activate Copilot in Power BI.
