Anyone else hate the New Desktop Outlook?.
What idiot at Microsoft is in charge of this nonsense? Pushing through an update with no notice to the most commonly used piece of software on my computer....that completely changes how multiple things work that have been in place for many, many years.
Honestly, if whomever that is worked for me.....they'd be instantly fired.
Microsoft is so brutal.
If you look at the May 2026 message from Teresa Cyrus, you'll see an interview with someone from Microsoft. I think she makes it clear they have no real plan. I have the new Outlook turned off on my computer.

Wow - May 2026!
But seriously, I had reason to speak with several Microsoft technical support people recently. I was told that New Outlook was 'work in progress' and may be complete at the end of 2026. So we are indeed guinea-pigs. Also the issues I had been published by many for several years yet those with whom I spoke had no knowledge of them

They stated that they are pretty much making all their desktop apps into containers for their cloud apps. This unified experience means we all get the watered-down version of the cloud apps. It seems that they are ready to ditch their real desktop apps and their desktop operating system (Win11 is another disaster mess). Soon we will all access Outlook.com from our Chromebooks. It appears Microsoft has jumped the shark.
