Adding gmail addresse in Outlook 2016

(5) Under "Data Files" there is my PST file named "Outlook_New.pst" which is used for my non gmail addresses but also 6 other ost files which were created when trying to add my gmail address. I didn't notice that

My default PST file is C:\Users\jl-bo\AppData\Local Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook_New.pst and this is this pst file which I wanted to be associated to my gmail address.

What should I do then ? I cannot delete these 6 ost files from the list. An error message says they are associated to a mail account, but in fact no mail account is associated to them and it seems a new attempt will created an extra C:\Users\jl-bo\AppData\Local Microsoft\Outlook\email address removed for privacy reasons .ost(7) file
The gmail address already exists in the "mail" tab associated to Outlook_New.pst with my other mail addresses but cannot work. Should I delete it then delete the 6 OST files ? from the list or on my disk ?

I deleted the 6 OST files from my disk but they are recreated when I open again the settings "Data Files" in "Mail (Microsoft Outlook)". And under "Data Files", it's still impossible to delete them. They are associated to a mail account which doesn't exist!
I found how to delete these ost files.
There were not associated in the list of mail accounts, but a folder was created in outlook. I closed these folders and then I could delete these files permanently.
Anyway, it doesn't change anything to my problem :
- If I try to create a gmail account automatically, an error message tells me that connecting to the server is impossible and asks me to try creating the account manually.
- If I then try to create it manually , using the the ports mentionned in Google help (993 with imap.gmail.com SSL/TLS and 587 with STARTTLS smtp.gmail.com) and linking it to Outlook_New.pst, it does not work either and an extra OST file is created :

The mail address is correct and the password as well 😞
Despite these error messages an account is added in Outlook list of account but is linked to a newly created mailto:email address removed for privacy reasons in C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook and not in Outlook-New.pst. An I cannot change the file in settings. Big mystery
And when I write a new message, the default mail address is not the default on as per settings but the gmail address ! But after closing Outlook 2016, my default mail address is ok.
