3rd party login with Paradox alarm system
Hello! I used Outlook mail for e-mail notification on my Paradox security systems. Since september it doesn't work anymore. What can I do? How can I update the 3rd party login's settings? Thx
It depends on how and where you've configured the email settings.
As of September, Basic Authentication is no longer supported for SMTP sending via the Outlook.com servers. Check whether your email notification system has an update and/or provides OAuth 2.0 authentication support already.
If not, you either need to change the way that you send out email notifications or use an SMTP server which supports Basic Authentication. Note that many ISPs also provide SMTP support, sometimes even without authentication, as long as you are on their network.
