Why are my Adobe preferences saving to my One Drive - Documents folder?

Since you wish to keep OneDrive, in the HP Scan window, where it shows:
--- save as pdf,
--- save as jpg,
--- etc
- create a shortcut for your scan.
Choose the options for that shortcut, including the destination folder (your C: or D : drive) and that shortcut will display a save option for the changes you made.
Save it.
Then, next time you want to scan something, use that 'new' scan shortcut.
It 'should' help. It did for me.
