Hi dysraf,
Thank you for the detailed information.
Here are a few more things you can try:
- Check your internet connection. OneDrive needs a stable internet connection to work properly. If you're having problems with your internet connection, try restarting your router and modem.
- Try running OneDrive in Safe Mode. This will help you determine if the problem is being caused by a third-party program or service. To start OneDrive in Safe Mode:
- Restart your computer.
- When you see the Windows startup screen, press and hold the F8 key.
- From the Advanced Boot Options menu, select Safe Mode with Networking.
- Press Enter.
- Once your computer has booted into Safe Mode, open the OneDrive app.
If OneDrive opens and works properly in Safe Mode, then the problem is likely being caused by a third-party program or service. To troubleshoot this further, try disabling all of your non-essential startup programs and services.
- Repair your Windows installation. If you've tried all of the above and you're still having problems, you may need to repair your Windows installation. This can fix a variety of problems, including corrupted system files.
To repair your Windows installation:
- Open the Settings app.
- Click on System.
- Click on Recovery.
- Under Reset this PC, click on Reset.
- Select Keep my files.
- Click on Reset.
This will repair your Windows installation without deleting your files.
