OneDrive Personal folder redirecting to OneDrive Enterprise
I am having a new issue with my work computer (AD registered) that has been working correctly for about five years with both my O365 and my personal OneDrive accounts. Both OneDrive folders are unique to each other in the root of my user folder, they are not sharing a common directory / folder and they have unique names too. (noted as problem for some users)
However something has occurred in the last month (not sure of precise date) where my personal OneDrive account stopped syncing correctly. It will not upload or download files. It indicates it's synchronized but if you change files in the cloud or on the local machine it will not actually transfer anything.
I tried performing a link and unlink and also tried performing a onedrive.exe /reset and neither has worked to restore operation. When relinking OneDrive it will pop up an error message saying "we're having trouble connecting to the onedrive service" when it's starting it's linking process and shows the initial folders to potentially be backed up (which I'm not using on this machine).
So one thing I noticed during my troubleshooting is that if I double-click on my Personal OneDrive folder it redirects to my Enterprise OneDrive folder. I'm wondering if some kind of loop is being created, even though each OneDrive account has a unique folder that has a unique name it keeps redirecting to the Enterprise folder. I'm wondering during startup is the same thing happening and the OneDrive Personal instance is getting redirected too and creating some kind of weird loop or something?
I've even tried exiting the OneDrive Enterprise client while the OneDrive Personal client is starting and still the same result.
I'm totally stumped at this point...

So more details, I thought it was an issue with the two OneDrive sessions fighting each other but it turns out the problem is only present when I'm on our corporate work network.
When my laptop is connected at home it has no issues syncing.
Since I'm administrator my work computer is multi-homed via multiple NIC's. I thought maybe somehow I ended up with multiple gateways but I confirmed only one network has a gateway, even shutting down the NIC's for those other networks doesn't help, just trying to troubleshoot.
This is quite perplexing... - LightGuy48Copper Contributor
So I was doing some additional noodling on this issue and I believe, although I'm not 100% certain, that the issue is related to the new Backup Folders features in OneDrive Personal. Since this is a work computer and I'm primarily using the Enterprise OneDrive for my office O365 account it is handling the folder management for Documents, Pictures, Desktop, etc.
I think something has happened so now when I attempt to start the Personal OneDrive session it's also trying to grab those same folders even though I have told it to use a different folder in my User root folder. Because OneDrive Personal always hangs up at the Backup folder on this PC, it throws errors on all of those folders saying it can't sync them, well duh, yeah because the Enterprise OneDrive is handling them.
So it appears the two OneDrive sessions are fighting each other, so how do I fix the Personal OneDrive session to keep it from trying to 'touch' those directories?
