For multiuser environments SharePoint provides superior access control and features. OneDrive is basically a single-user SP document library.
The license issue primarily pertains to your colleagues in your environment, nor external customers' access.
Without knowing your business model it's had to give full advice but please note that if you have other people in your company accessing these files then you should separate your identities so thT access controls, passwords and audit trails are clearly separated.
