OneDrive KFM - My Pictures Folder wont redirect to Onedrive

Hi

Currently working on a Onedrive migration project for one our clients, hit a bit of a stumbling block.
We have an issue where the Pictures folder is stating that a policy has been set that prevents changes known folders.

However this is not the case we amended the Policy that was set, this has fixed the majority of the clients.

Registry HiveHKEY_CURRENT_USER
Registry PathSoftware\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Value NameDisablePersonalDirChange
Value TypeREG_DWORD
Enabled Value1
Disabled Value0

However we still have a quite a lot of clients showing as None for KFM on the Onedrive status report and I believe this is one of the reasons. I am stumped at what other policy could be interfering with the Pictures. All looks good in the user shell folders also.
When looking at the Pictures properties and Location tab. The 3 buttons in the below screen are not there to be seen.

Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this. Thanks for reading.

    Hi ZaheerAI,

    1. Check these Registry Settings: Besides the "DisablePersonalDirChange" policy you mentioned, there are a few other registry settings that can affect Known Folder Move.

Verify the following registry settings on the affected clients:

      • Registry Path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OneDrive

        • Value Name: EnableKfm
        • Value Type: REG_DWORD
        • Set the value to 1 to enable KFM.

      • Registry Path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OneDrive\TenantAutoMount

        • Value Name: Enabled
        • Value Type: REG_DWORD
        • Set the value to 1 to enable KFM for all tenants.

    2. User Shell Folders: Confirm that the user shell folder paths for the affected clients are correctly configured. You mentioned that the user shell folders look good, but it's worth verifying the paths for the My Pictures folder specifically. Ensure that the path is set to the desired location in OneDrive.

    3. Restart and Sync: Have the affected clients restart their devices and perform a full sync with OneDrive.
