OneDrive claims that there is not enough space to sync or upload my files when there is enough space
This issue usually happens when OneDrive’s sync cache gets stuck or when there’s a mismatch between what’s stored locally and what Microsoft’s servers think you’re using. Try signing out of OneDrive completely, then deleting the local OneDrive cache folder (you can find it by typing %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive in the File Explorer address bar). After that, restart your computer and sign back in. If the problem continues, go to the OneDrive web app, click the gear icon → OneDrive settings → Storage metrics, and check if there are any hidden or orphaned files taking up space (like old “Preservation Hold” folders). Clearing those usually fixes the “not enough space” message.
