Missing OneDrive options in classic context menu - Windows 11 24H2
You’re not alone — the missing OneDrive context menu options in Windows 11 24H2 have been reported by several users recently, especially after updating to newer OneDrive builds. Since you’re already on version 25.149, it looks like this may be tied to the ongoing transition between the classic and modern context menu handlers.
A few things you can try before doing a full reset/reinstall:
🔄 Restart Explorer & OneDrive – Sometimes restarting File Explorer (explorer.exe) and the OneDrive process clears handler issues.
🗂️ Check Group Policy / Registry – Ensure that shell extensions for OneDrive haven’t been disabled. (In some older fixes, users deleted legacy registry keys under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers, but as you mentioned, those may no longer exist in 24H2.)
⚙️ Run OneDrive Repair – Right-click the OneDrive cloud icon > Settings > About > Run repair (if available in your build).
📦 Preview vs. Production builds – Switching between preview and production channels can sometimes cause conflicts; a clean update via the standalone OneDrive installer may restore missing entries.
If none of the above work, it’s likely a bug/regression in the latest builds. In that case, I’d recommend submitting feedback through Feedback Hub and monitoring the OneDrive release notes — Microsoft has been tweaking context menu integration in recent Insider and production updates.
For now, you can still access most of these OneDrive functions from the system tray icon or the web portal until the context menu behavior stabilizes.
