Is it possible to update OneDrive for Mac settings without waiting 30 minutes for it to sign in?

I accidentally hit the sync button in Sharepoint. Rather that wait forever for OneDrive to sync 1,000 folders, I force quit OneDrive for Mac. That seems to have been the wrong move as I'm now waiting a half hour just for OneDrive to Sign in. 

What's the work around for changing OneDrive settings without having to wait forever for it to sign in?
