Hyperlinks in OneDrive

Hello, I have a Word document which is basically a picture. I also have a corresponding Excel document that can be accessed by clicking on a hyperlink in the Word document. This capability seems to disappear when uploading the documents to OneDrive, and I cannot figure out how to recreate the links. Can anyone help? Many Thanks!
