How to see photo's and movies in the create-date order in OneDrive Photo

Unfortunately the instructions that Microsoft provides (that you may have copied in, thanks) for the Web App don's seem to apply - there is no sort option. It is so frustrating that something this basic is not available and obvious. The only arrows are to toggle the view.
The instructions supplied by Microsoft work for the OneDrive desktop app. However, the app has to sort the pictures every time I open my pictures folder. Could there be a way to reindex my pictures so that they are sorted by date (and not by name) every time I open my pictures folder ? Sorting them takes 5 seconds every single time ..
