Enable external sharing on specific named folder in OneDrive while blocking it in all other folders
We would like to replace our DropBox functionality with OneDrive, but our CISO is reluctant to allow external sharing.
We'd like to create a folder for all users named "External Share" in which files and folders can be freely shared to external recipients while continuing to block external sharing in all other folders and files.
Is there a way to do this?
- There are no controls that allow you to restrict sharing to just specific folders. I suppose you can enforce autolabeling on all items in said folder as a form of access control, but this requires additional licensing and I'm not even 100% certain it will work.
