.URL extension (internet shortcut file / link) file type in One Drive For Business iOS apps

Does the user experience for .URL files in OneDrive For Business on the Web intentionally not provide a similar experience on iOS? I would expect to see the website upon clicking the file in the iOS app, but instead when clicking a URL file, I'm presented with attributes on the file but no available (or at least obvious) way to view the web link in Safari.
