Unknown users: Why some guests appear as unknown
I'm a Spanish teacher and we are using Teams for our lessons, because the town I work in is closed up. For some reason, many students appear as Unknow Users even if they have introduced their names....
This is a longstanding issue (or a series of issues), the best thing to do here is open a support case and report it, so that Microsoft can (hopefully) fix it.
A work around while waiting for a fix is clicking the “participants” button in the meeting and then going back to chat. This usually updates the unknown users names. Assuming you are talking about in meetings.
