Unable to delete a private channel

Hi    I seem to be unable to delete a private channel after having created a private channel for testing. The channel has no content and only one additional user, that was added after I found that...

Hi,

 

Our Tenant has a retention policy enabled for Sharepoint, so it is not possible to delete a private channel from a Teams.

 

I tested it by removing the private channel site from the retention policy and was able to delete it from Teams.

 

Therefore, if the retention policy is enabled for Sharepoint, you cannot delete a private channel without first removing it from retention.

    josegfl hi Jose, how did you exclude teams site collection from the sharepoint Lists configured for a retention policy?

      • Locations applied
      • SharePointSites ---> Exclude sites and Exclude sites
      • Type URL site and Exclude e Done (Save)
