Unable to delete a private channel

My guess is you have all your /sites/ under retention policy. So it cannot delete the underlying SharePoint site due to that since it tries to delete it and it can’t. Unlike deleting a group keeps the site around and isn’t reliant on that delete to complete. I don’t think it’s intended but think I saw another person having the same issue so figured it could be related.

We are seeing this in our tenant and we have retention of sites enabled. Might report it to Microsoft as well as I'm guessing this could be a bug.
