I saw that Tony. Part of the problem is it doesn't have the same character count that the code blocks had. It makes it inefficient if you scale beyond like 100 or 500 characters. My use case is I have log outputs which aren't necessarily huge, but it fit in the code block but not in the new code snippit. Can the character count be increased then?

You'll have to lobby Microsoft for an increase... I think this is a case of Teams picking up a common component and phasing out its own component. There's goodness in that, but not if it doesn't serve your purpose... Why not use GitHub for your code examples and send links to your collaborators? That's what I do...
