Tenant location relevant for Teams meeting performance

We run our tenant in the US but have our HQ in Europe. Is the videoconferencing performance of Teams in any way affected by the cumbersome routing?

    Afaik the meeting service is hosted wherever the first user that connects to the meeting belong. So make sure that this is where the majority of your user is
