Teams PBX VPN / Express Route
Is it possible to have Teams Direct Routing over VPN or Express Route instead of opening up the SBC to the internet?
gd-29 Yes it is possible to have Direct Routing over Express Route. The most common setup is to have the SBC to connect to Direct Routing via Internet. One downside I can see, more than the price, is that you have one more component that can fail.

gd-29 You would probably still have to open up your SBC to the internet in order to connect to your ITSP (SIP Trunk Provider) wouldn't you?
SBC's have good security features on them that can effectively work as a 2nd firewall to stop unwanted traffic from IP's not associated with Microsoft Voice or your ITSP Signalling & Media IP's.
